Health information
No vaccinations are required for traveling to Bhutan. Neither will visitors be quarantined at the entry points, unless the visitor is traveling from infected areas. Visitors may want to bring their necessary drugs if they are allergic to Asian drugs.

Silver Dragon Tours is not a medical facility and cannot provide further medical advice as to whether you as an individual should take a particular vaccination. Please consult your doctor or the Center for Disease Control.

If you are traveling to other destination beside Bhutan please consult your doctor or clinic to determine if you need to take any further precautions.

Shopping
Bhutan’s delightful postage stamps, traditional hand-woven fabrics, artifacts like woven bamboo baskets, wooden bowls, handmade papers, jewelleries, thangkha paintings make a wonderful buy.

Currency
The local currency in Bhutan is the Ngultrum (Nu). At the time of writing the exchange rate was 42 Ngultrum to one US dollar. Plan on bringing enough spending money to tip your guides, purchase any local goods, and cover any other personal expenses. Local goods include rugs, thangkas, textiles, jewelry, and handi-crafts. You can cash traveler's checks at any of Bhutan's banks, most hotels and at the foreign exchange counter at the airport. We suggest exchanging some money upon your arrival at the airport. Do not plan on using credit cards while in Bhutan outside of Paro and Thimphu since only VISA is accepted. Often time’s restaurants and shops will add a surcharge of up to 7% to your purchase if you pay with credit card. Visa Card. Visa/JCB and Credit Card is excepted in few hotels and handicrafts, only to make payments with the additional charges of 7 % (Bank commission) but cannot in- cash money either from Bhutan National Bank. Master card is not excepted and there are no ATMS for foreign guests in Bhutan. You can in -cash Travelers cheque from the bank with 1% bank commission.

Transport
Transportation within Bhutan is only by means of vehicle. Unlike other countries, Bhutan does not have the facilities of domestic Airline, Metro train or super underground train.  Silver Dragon Tours & Treks provides our guests with imported luxury cars like Toyota Land Cruiser, Hiace Buses, Coaster Buses, Hyundai 4x4 vehicles, KIA and all imported vehicle from Japan, Korea etc.
